Do websites know your computer’s hostname or M…

I am assuming the hostname is also simply referred to as the “name” of your device.

Is the hostname of your computer or the MAC address sent as part of a typical HTTP(S)/TCP/whatever protocol request to a website when viewed from a browser?

If not, could a tracking company get access to these with JavaScript? Are the popular ones (Google Analytics, etc) overtly collecting this information? I ask because on the Electronic Frontier Foundation’s browser privacy test it doesn’t show hostname or MAC address as the fingerprint data (which I assume are the best ways to fingerprint a computer if accessible).
