Who else is shunning modern technological conv…

In the past 5 years, I have removed myself from all social networks, started using cash for transactions instead of my credit card, and reverted back to an anonymous flip phone. I also a Linux laptop for all of my computing needs except for a Windows 7 PC that we use exclusively for gaming.

I had to purchase a new car recently and bought a “pre-GPS” used 2007 model from CarMax.

My observations are that my life has not changed negatively in any meaningful way. I still have things I need and my time is filled doing things that I enjoy. I don’t feel like I’ve made any sacrifices at all.

I bring this up because my wife just had to get a new credit card yesterday because someone used her card to make a fraudulent online purchase, and I was thinking about how I never have to worry about that bullshit anymore.
