https://wired.com/story/apollo-breach-linkedin-salesforce-data/Normally I wouldn’t be surprised at new data breaches. But this one stands out for a few reasons:I’ve never done business with Apollo. They’re a data aggregator for businesses to do marketing and sales, so they sourced the information from someone else. I have no idea who.I guard my email closely – it’s never been used to sign up on shady websites or forums, etc. It’s only been used on legitimate websites and I opt out of marketing preferences every time it’s available. I know every single website it’s ever been used on and every single website where I have an account thanks to my password manager. Yet I’ve not received a single notification about this breach and I have no idea who supplied my information to Apollo. There’s virtually no media coverage of this despite the 200+ million pieces of information exposed.Basically I know some website I have an account on is selling my information to Apollo and probably other marketing companies and Apollo got hacked. I’d like to find who sold my information and terminate my account there. It should be a relatively easy task since I have ~80 accounts max, but I need more affected people to work with so we can correlate a list of common websites we’ve all signed up on.Does anyone know who sold information to Apollo?
