I recently was swapping my computer over to VeraCrypt since I don’t like the idea of using a closed source hard drive encryption for my computer. But sadly I couldn’t get my OS to update to the latest version of windows. It would download install but upon the reboot it would take me to a repair windows screen. From what I could find myself I have to use some patcher on GitHub that someone made to let non Bios computers do the update (I think I am on efi or something I can’t remember and am not too technical when it comes to this stuff). I was wondering if there is an easier way. I am worried about screwing my computer up. What other full disk encryption is available that can be trusted. That will still allow me to run windows seamlessly like bitlocker but made by a trusted source. Is VeraCrypt working on patching such errors? Thanks for your help. I am newer to the wanting to be more private thing and am really doing my best to make the swap. I even am on an iPhone after being an android user for most of my years.
