How to get data removed from people search web…

I had a nightmare getting my personal data and false information removed from scummy data harvester sites like MyLife.com, PeopleFinders and Beenverified.com. Any ideas how to get this crap off the net and keep it off?

Attempting to counter non-targeted corporate d…

I will soon attempt to set up my computer and phone to try and reasonably counter trackers and corporate data collection. this is mostly a hobby or interest rather than any need, but also i dont like that data being stored in the case of a data breach or employee abuse.

since my threat model is against non-targeted, non-state-sponsored adversries this should be possible to accomplish

laptop:

properly use qubes to isolate personal/interests/anonymous so that interest based browsing and throwaway comments are not associated with my person

use whonix and tor broswer where able to (prevent fingerprinting and ip based tracking)

in situations where cant use tor browser, try to use proxy & noscript decentraleyes and maybe other browser addons and options to avoid trackers for interest based browsing

degoogle (only email and youtube left to do, is captcha an issue? its hard to avoid especially with cloudflare)

isolate any corporate sites/programs that are absolutely necessary (eg. for work)

phone:

lineageOS + microg

no 3rd party apps (i dont need them)

orbot and a privacy-based browser

how effective is this likely to be? if I follow these rules and dont log in to old accounts, are corporations likely to be able to correlate my private browsing to me (since even though noscript can remove google and amazon scripts they are almost everywhere and also captcha)?

Is connecting to my router webui using the man…

Once in awhile away from home i need to open my asus webui app to connect to my router to turn it off remotely.

I’m in and out in just a few seconds. But it’s done over http. Can my routers webui/admin password be seen during this brief connection and give someone a backdoor to my network?
